The new series types will be available in both SR (Set-Thru) and SBR (bolt-on) configurations with three metallic gloss finish models to start this exciting new assortment.

Marcus Siepen has been a defining figure in the German metal scene since the mid-1980s as the rhythm guitarist for Blind Guardian. Kirk Windstein has been a staple of the American Metal scene since 1989. Hailing from New Orleans, he has played in a number of influential and successful bands, most notably his own band Crowbar and as a founding member of the heavy metal supergroup, Down.
After Kirk using Solar Guitars over the last few years, Solar Guitars is proud to introduce Kirk’s Signature sophomore Model, the X1.6KW. Simplicity equals power to handle Kirk’s requirements for Crowbar and Down with a tried and true EMG81/85 combination to get it done. Style points are registered with a custom fleur-de-lis 12th fret inlay and special block inlays on the side of the fretboard offering unmatched stage visibility, even in the darkest environments.
Solar Guitars is continually expanding its new CHOP SHOP production of guitars finished and assembled at their main facility in Spain. The 2nd release of 2024 is a fiery red version of the already popular “PYRO” finish. The finish starts with the ancient art of torching hardwood (Shou Sugi Ban) to achieve greater strength and stunning visual effects from the wood grain. The process is extensive; the body and headstock are meticulously burned by hand along with the logo applied with actual fire heated brand stamp. After the burning phases, the body and headstock are sanded clean then tinted fire red before poly sealer coats are applied. Once dry, assembly commences with the roasted maple 3-piece neck fitted with Solar locking tuners, Floyd Rose installation, Solar and Duncan Solar pickups, electronics wiring, switchcraft jack and copper shielding before strings strung up with final set-up by our experienced luthiers to be ready for top level professional stage or studio use. MCAS Custom fitted ABS molded TSA flight-ready case is included along with a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by Ola and the luthier that assembled each guitar.
Solar Guitars continues to expand its new CHOP SHOP production series of guitars finished and assembled at their main facility in Spain. The 1st new release for 2024, the “Chrome Canibalismo” is Pure Metal! The finish is created from a unique material that is made from actual metal and involves a 5-stage process to cover the body, then after the base metal coat is completed, the Solar signature Canibalismo splatter is applied. This special material then needs considerable time to cure and harden into its final ‘Metallized” form. Being metal, over time the finish will oxidize so each specific guitar ages with its own particular look and patina to this innovative instrument.

This model, a bolt on Type AB in Carbon Black with Evertune bridge is the most popular Solar Guitar configuration to be offered from the European made series to date. As with previous European Master Series models, the company again offers players ‘Best in Class’ quality and appointments.

Solar Guitars continues to expand its new CHOP SHOP production of guitars finished and assembled at their main facility in Spain. The 3rd release, the “Desert Rose” is inspired by the natural phenomenon of the same name created by the extreme wind and sand in the world’s most foreboding desert environments. Solar Guitars founder, Ola Englund explains, “It’s a process of 4 basic ingredients, WOOD, FIRE, WIND & SAND. The coolest part is the texture!, the sand rips through the charred grain and makes something totally unique.”
