Tobias Bruchmann – Night In Gales Solar Artists

I am a founding member of Night in Gales in 1995 and have been playing bass and doing background vocals ever since.
1998 – 2008 In Blackest Velvet (bass / backing vocals) 1992-1996 Pope Death Treat, 1992-1995 Instestinal Ulcer

After NIGHT IN GALES’ debut EP “Sylphlike” had hit the scene like a bomb in 1995 (up till now this
release remains with 7000 copies one of the best selling demos ever!), the first album “Towards The
Twilight” was released in 1997 under the wings of Nuclear Blast Records and the band toured with bands
such as of In Flames, Hypocrisy, Children Of Bodom, Sinister and Death, before releasing their second
album “Thunderbeast”. Further touring with acts like Dismember or again Children Of Bodom followed, as
well as appearances at festivals like Wacken Open Air or Summer Breeze Open Air. While the releases this
far presented the band with a clearly melo-death rocking groove, their third album “Nailwork“ in 2000
showcased a rather morbid and more progressive side to things and Night In Gales not only toured Europe
with Old Man´s Child and Krisiun but also visited Japan together with Defleshed and long time underground
mates in Dew-Scented. The band’s upcoming “Necrodynamic“ album release in 2001 saw them switching to
Massacre Records and also to a more varied and melodic stylistic approach,
After a longer break to reorientate, NIGHT IN GALES 2011 had returned to work on a brandnew album,
showcasing a matured and re-defined band, fresh and quality-driven as ever before. The new and fifth album
“Five Scars” successfully combined all of the band’s past trademarks within the typically Swedish melodic
death metal sound structure, smoothly rounded off with a killer mix/master courtesy of scene icon Dan
Swanö. „Five Scars“ reched soudcheck position #4 in German Metal Hammer Magazine and the band
presented the new album a.o. at Summer Breeze and Roch Harz, Rage Against Racism and Metal Splash
Open Air in 2012.
In 2016, the band officially declared the return of former singer Christian Müller (1995 – 1996), signed to
Apostasy Records and released their 6th album „The Last Sunsets“, which shows Night In Gales returning to
their very early trademarks and is handled as a successful comeback for the band in 2018. The album was
mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö, the cover artwork was done by Costin Chioreanu. The band played
numerous open air festivals, a.o. Summer breeze 2018, Dong Open Air 2018 Hardmetalfest Mangualde in
Portugal 2019 and finally 30th anniversary of Wacken Open Air 2019.
Driven by the success that „The Last Sunsets“ became, the band started writing a follow up album right after
it´s release. The new & 7th album „Dawnlight Garden“ was released 24th July 2020 via Apostasy Records
and entered the German Album Charts on position 64. The album was again produced by Dan Swanö at
Unisound, the artwork was done by Costin Chioreanu.
After a split vinyl release with friends Nykptophobia in 2022, Night In Gales returned in 2023 with their
8th studio album “The Black Stream” via Apostasy Records and hit Official German Album Charts on position 77.
Their new and 9th album “Shadowreaper” was produced by Fredrik Nordström and will be published 6th december by Apostasy Records.

The E2.5BOP immediately won me over with its good sound, how comfortable it is to wear and its powerful appearance. The impeccable workmanship makes it super easy to play and it keeps its tuning stable. It has already proven itself in live performances with Night In Gales.
