Marc Strobel – Carnal Tomb Solar Artists

Carnal Tomb plays traditional death metal, incorporating influences from all areas of extreme metal. Marc Strobel founded the band in Berlin in 2014, taking care of lead vocals and the guitar. In 2016, after two demos, they released their debut album ‘Rotten Remains’ through Memento Mori. During that time, they played various shows in Germany and the surrounding regions. One of the highlights was headlining a show in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2017 and opening for a sold-out Blood Incantation show in Berlin.

Testimony Records took notice of them and signed Carnal Tomb in 2018. While preparing for the second album, they embarked on a European tour in the fall of 2018, along with Sentient Horror from the USA. In 2019, they released their second album ‘Abhorrent Veneration’ and played more concerts, such as the well known festival at Party San Open Air in 2019. During the pandemic, they released two EPs and a split, and also had the opportunity to support bands like Vader and Convulse.

In 2022, they performed at Helsinki Deathfest and began recording their third album. During the summer of 2023, they embarked on a headlining tour across Europe alongside Teratoma. In November, their third album, ‘Embalmed in Decay,’ will be released.”
