After a 5 year Hiatus, Shields returned in the summer of 2023, to release a brand new song ‘Bury Me’ on Longbranch Records (DE) just before they take the stage again at Burn It Down Festival UK.
Forming in 2012 Shields rapidly made a strong impression on the metal community with their single ‘I Just Feel Hate’ (1.8M YouTube views) , which was followed by their EP ‘GUILT’ . 2018 saw the release of Shields debut album ‘Life In Exile’ which included the singles ‘Black Dog’ and ‘It’s Killing Me’.
Shields began touring internationally in 2013 which lead them to sharing touring schedules with bands such as Ice Nine Kills, Escape the Fate and Loathe. The busy touring schedule of the band took them on regular European and UK touring schedules, reaching up 12 countries per tour in many instances.
